This is a Full-time internship position for our Spring Rotation, from March 23, 2026 through September 18, 2026 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
The Purchasing team is a regional team that supports the US and Canada for multiple BMW Group entities. The intern will support the purchasing team in various purchasing projects. Some of the responsibilities are to support buyers with market screenings, pre-selection of bidders, creation of RFP (Request for Proposal), analysis of proposals, and negotiations. The intern will work independently on smaller purchasing projects. As well, supporting and assisting in further development of purchasing processes, tools, systems, and guidelines
WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Development and maintaining of monthly reports on the utilization of the budget
- Identify trends in usage, and keep the stakeholders in line with budget allocation amounts
- Responsible for retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources
- Utilize dashboards to identify and analyze key indicators and patterns
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 60 college credit hours at time of application
- Field of study: Business, Finance
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
- Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Detail oriented and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferences:
- English (fluent, oral, and written), German beneficial.
- Experience using AI Apps and Power BI
- Experience with SAP and Coupa

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $25.30
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.20
The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
