Summer 2026 Full-Time Internship – Washington, D.C.
May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026

 

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

  • Tracking company-relevant issues and legislation;
  • Conducting trade, transportation, and other related research;
  • Supporting event organization and execution;
  • Reporting on Capitol Hill meetings and hearings;
  • Performing administrative and office management work including answering telephones, ordering supplies, updating contact lists, filing, and assisting with mailings and invitations;
  • Acting as an office concierge to assist visitors, oversee the overall office maintenance, and ensure that office resources are stocked and operational.
     

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • US Work Authorization required.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
  • Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.
  • Prior BMW Group experience is a plus (applicable to international J1 students only).

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING. 

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s Studies during Junior/Senior year or enrolled in Master’s Studies Program
  • Prior internship and/or relevant work experience
  • Highly motivated, Highest standard of excellence, Strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
  • Willing to perform regular administrative tasks
  • Outgoing and engaging personality
  • Experience in a business environment
  • Self-starter, that can initiate and prioritize the daily activities;
  • General knowledge of legislative and executive branches.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role that requires in office days. 


Undergraduate students: Hourly rate is $25.30. 
Graduate students: Hourly rate is $32.20.


The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
