Supply Chain Operations Intern (Fall 2026)

Description:

The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: 

  • Connect the network with integrated supply chain solutions to safeguard production.
  • Ensure parts supply at the right time, right place, quantity, and quality for continuous production.
  • Focus on Material Control, Transportation Control, and Delivery Assurance.
  • Act as the gatekeepers of the supply chain for the ultimate driving machine
  • Address areas of uncertainty for material control such as forecast errors, yield losses, timing issues of demand and supply (random lead times).
  • Find alternatives to the current solution, which is carrying safety stock.
  • Develop concepts and IT solutions to support essential daily tasks.
  • Create and maintain visualization tools and material planning dashboards.
  • Optimize processes for the availability of materials, components, and products for planned production and customer delivery.
  • Define the lowest possible level of inventory.
  • Understand the uncertainty of the MRP in the body shop area and find improvements to increase planning efficiencies.
  • Support process mapping of the business and documentation of standard processes.
  • Use resources to support overall planning activities.
  • Lead team meetings and deliver presentations.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should have completed or be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Data Lake, or similar tools is a plus
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th - December 11th, 2026.
