Description:
- Manages Equipment Spare Part purchasing process for the MRO group.
- Serves as the MRO group's direct liaison with internal Procurement group.
- Meets regularly with procurement contact to develop purchasing process strategies and supplier management.
- Secures quotes for all needed inventory items.
- Reviews MRP daily requirements to determine correct reorder levels and quantities.
- Manages all open RFQ's and open purchase orders to ensure there is no downtime impact to production.
- Interacts will all Maintenance departments to review current and future inventory ordering requirements.
- Provides daily task requirements to outsource personnel assisting in purchasing process.
- Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
- Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (Logistics related field preferred) OR AA/AS degree (Logistics related field preferred) AND 2 years of professional related experience in inventory management OR The equivalent of 4 years of related professional experience in inventory management.
- 2+ years of professional inventory control or material planning leadership experience (maintenance or spare parts preferred).
- 2+ years of SAP experience (maintenance or logistics-related preferred).
- 3+ years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
- 3+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- 2+ years of knowledge in maintenance, equipment, and spare parts (preferred).
