Description:
- Provides support for development of the primary tactical and strategic Plant Security and Emergency Services strategic plan.
- Implements core strategies to meet the location security needs and is a resource to security management and site business management.
- Serves as a liaison with local external emergency agencies in support of incident response at BMW Manufacturing facilities.
- Develops and administers security programs designed to protect personnel, facilities, and information, relating to crisis management, business continuity and emergency situations.
- Performs risk management assessments, and ensures compliance with local, state and federal guidelines regarding emergency and security measures.
- Proposes, develops, and implements countermeasures for non-compliance.
- Designs and executes security audits within the plant to ensure company security procedures are followed.
- Implements countermeasures with appropriate management to address nonconformities.
- Sustains a highly motivated vendor team focused on proactive security measures.
- Oversees surveillance detection measures, active and effective patrols, continual site assessments of physical security measures and technology use.
- Oversees access control badging at Plant Spartanburg, Plant Woodruff, and BMW MC facilities.
- Works with BMW AG on access control topics relating to access control, security zones, and access control technology.
- Travels as required by job duty
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice or related degree; OR AA/AS degree in criminal justice or related degree and 2 years of professional law enforcement, investigation, or corporate security experience; OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional law enforcement, investigation, or corporate security experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Law Enforcement, Corporate Security, investigations and/or emergency services.
- 2+ years of experience in access control technology
- 2+ years supervisory experience or vendor management experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
- 5+ years of professional communication and teamwork skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- 5+ years of skills in identifying problems and developing solutions.
