APEX/Oracle Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide the Assembly Quality Management IT Systems (Programming) Team with support on Quality Data Application development, validation, and analytics. The position primarily utilizes Oracle APEX for data reporting and management. BMW uses the Siemens IPS-Q database for assembly defect documentation and tracking. The position will be a contributing member of Quality Reporting and Application development.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:

  • Support validation and refinement of current applications
  • Work with users to define needs and project plans
  • Provide support for problem investigation
  • Conduct quality data review
  • Lead technical projects to ensure long-term requirements of systems management and planning are met
  • Recommend and implement quality improvement efforts; stay up to date on future innovations and technical trends and apply these to future changes
  • Test and update software for main quality systems to ensure the latest user enhancements
  • Conduct training for end users after software updates and improvements are implemented
  • Possible project applications may include Electronic Job Sign-in reporting, Problem Solving Database, Key Performance Indicator reporting, Closed Defect Reporting
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred degrees: Computer Science, Information Technologies, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with programming in SQL
  • Application development skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
  • Work term dates are May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026.
  • Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
