Description:
- Coordinates and provides ongoing support for development of the primary tactical and strategic Plant Security and Emergency Services.
- Supports the implementation of core strategies to meet the location security needs and serves as a key resource to security management and site business management.
- Serves as a liaison with local external emergency agencies in support of incident response at Plant Spartanburg, Plant Woodruff, and all BMW MC facilities.
- Leads the operations of Plant Spartanburg and Plant Woodruff Security and Emergency Services.
- Develops and administers security programs designed to protect personnel, facilities, and information, particularly as this relates to crisis management, business continuity and emergency situations.
- Performs risk management assessments, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding emergency and security measures.
- Proposes, develops, and implements countermeasures for non-compliance.
- Designs and executes security audits within the plant to ensure company security procedures are followed, i.e. removal of company property, securing access rights, etc. Implements countermeasures with appropriate management to address non conformities.
- Sustains a highly motivated vendor team focused on proactive security measures including but not limited to surveillance detection, active and effective patrols, continual site assessments of physical security measures, and technology use.
- Supports in crisis management and assists during the activation of the crisis management team.
- Business travel is required to perform job duties. Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice or related degree; OR AA/AS degree in Criminal Justice or related degree AND the equivalent of 2 years of professional applicable experience such as law enforcement, investigations, or corporate security; OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional applicable experience such as law enforcement, investigations, or corporate security.
- 5+ years of related professional experience in law enforcement, security, investigations, or corporate security.
- Professional Certification desired (such as ASIS CPI, PSP or CPP).
- 2+ years supervisory experience or vendor management experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
- 5+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
- 5+ years of professional problem solving skills
