BMW Shared Services, LLC provides consultative HR support to BMW Group companies in the US including BMW of North America, LLC, BMW Group Designworks, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, NA and BMW Financial Services NA, LLC. 

 

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

  • Independently and proactively leads strategic and tactical HR support by partnering with assigned business unit leaders, including working with and liaising with labor unions as appropriate, aligned with company policies, practices, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of new and established managers, contributing to the operational implementation of HR strategy and plans into concrete measures and tangible results.
  • Acts as the first point of contact and departmental liaison for all HR disciplines, providing support and superior customer service to executives and their delegates.
  • Offers an extended, proactive range of advice, specializing in issues of disciplinary leadership.
  • Coaches managers to effectively carry out their management tasks along the entire employee journey, remaining a point of contact for more complex issues until the business transaction is resolved.
  • Serves as a key liaison with labor unions, supporting constructive labor-management relations, contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and negotiation preparation in partnership with business and HR leadership.
  • Uses the same information base to ensure consistent statements and cross-departmental standards in the exercise and training of leadership performance within the BMW Group.
  • Leads the cyclical personnel processes (e.g., portfolio, development talks, pay planning, reclassification) and actively contributes person-specific inputs to the HR information system.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent professional work experience (HR Management, preferred).
  • 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience across Associate Relations, HR Management, and Internal Talent Identification, with recent experience focused on Associate Relations and HR Management in a large, multi-location, complex work environment.
  • 2 – 3 years of prior internal talent acquisition support including 2 years identifying passive talent.
  • 1 – 2 years of recent Human Resources experience in Compensation and Benefits related topics.
  • Prior project management experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Prior experience in SAP HR and SAP Success Factors or an equivalent Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Preferences:
    • Knowledge of Federal, State and local employment regulations, specifically focusing on California.
    • 3 years of recent experience supporting labor relations in a union environment, including partnering with labor unions, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, supporting grievance processes, and assisting with negotiation preparation.
    • Direct or indirect leadership of team members.
    • Prior experience leading the vendor selection process including Request for Proposal and Request for Quote.

This is a hybrid role that requires regular attendance in the office.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $62,500.00 – $125,000.00.

 

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
