Your mission is to guarantee the structural integrity and quality of the vehicle body through the mastery of joining technologies and the implementation of Group Standards.
- Owner on new technologies development
- Support maintenance teams and ensure knowledge transfer across the department.
- Lead projects to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize cycle times. You are responsible for the integration of new technologies and ensuring they are properly transferred to the production team.
- Ensure the adherence to Group Standards and decision-making protocols.
- Lead internal and external Joining Audits.
- Develop and maintain WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), WPQR (Welder Performance Qualification Record), and PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) documents.
- Lead SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments), and Six Sigma analyses to keep process parameters under control.
- Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Reverse FMEA to reduce Risk Priority Numbers.
- Evaluate quality through Non-Destructive Testing and Destructive Testing, defining and following up on action plans for any non-conformances.
- Establish a continuous exchange with counterparts in Munich, Spartanburg, China, and Dingolfing to stay aligned with global technology trends.
What should you bring along?
We are seeking a highly specialized engineer with a deep understanding of robotic joining processes and quality data steering.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering
- 2+ years of professional experience in joining/welding technologies.
- 2+ years within the Automotive Industry.
- Expertise in Joining Software and Firmware.
- Strong experience in ePDCA, Six Sigma, and problem-solving for technical availability.
