What awaits you?

As the Methods Specialist for the Flux Process, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and optimization of the Cell Connecting System (CCS) coating process. Your knowledge of chemical surface treatment will be essential to achieving excellence in high‑voltage battery production.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Secure, stabilize, and master the Flux application and CCS coating processes, from prototype through full‑scale mass production, ensuring flawless performance of our Gen 6 batteries.
  • Take a hands‑on, ownership‑driven approach, optimizing process parameters and performing product analyses with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ensure that all start-up, ramp-up, and series production requirements for the Flux process are met, evaluating product and process changes from a technical standpoint.
  • Plan and analyze DOE (Design of Experiments) and perform capability studies to guarantee process stability.
  • Lead problem solving efforts, supporting operators and maintenance teams using advanced camera systems and analytical tools to tackle complex faults and deviations.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding NOK (Not OK) or out of tolerance components, ensuring rapid and effective issue resolution.
  • Represent the BMW SLP Plant in global Flux working groups, collaborating with experts across the BMW network to shape cutting-edge production technologies.

What should you bring along?

  • Technical or Bachelor´s Degree (preferred in Chemistry, Printing, or Process Technologies).
  • 1+ Year of work experience in the automotive industry.
  • 1+ Year of work experience in the paint area.
  • Practical experience in carrying out process optimizations steps on production stations.
  • Very high team and communication skills and flexibility
  • Knowledge of test methods and process indicators for monitoring the Flux process and resolving deviations or complex faults.
  • Business English.
