The BMW Group is embarking on a transformative initiative to embed sustainability and ethical practices at the core of its operations. As part of this strategic shift, the company is seeking an experienced ESG Officer to spearhead its environmental, social, and governance programs. In this dynamic and impactful role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive ESG strategies, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring the BMW Group's compliance with evolving sustainability regulations and industry best practices. Collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization, you will play a crucial part in shaping the company's sustainability roadmap and elevating its environmental, social, and governance standards.

 

What awaits you?

As the ESG Officer, you will spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive environmental, social, and governance strategies to elevate the company's sustainability standards and drive meaningful progress across its CSEE subregion.

 

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and compliance.
  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of the company's ESG roadmap, aligning with best practices.
  • Integrate ESG principles across business operations, product development, and decision-making.
  • Oversee ESG data reporting to measure progress, identify improvements, and communicate sustainability.
  • Engage key stakeholders to foster transparency and build trust around ESG commitments.
  • Drive employee adoption of sustainable practices and champion sustainability across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of ESG regulations, trends, and industry benchmarks to maintain a leading position

 

What should you bring along?

To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • Educational background in business, economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ESG, which can be through formal education or prior work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in the financial services or automotive industry.
  • Strong project management capabilities to navigate the dynamic business environment.
  • Innovative mindset and a passion for implementing new ideas and driving organizational change.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and a demonstrated commitment to achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in business English and German

We are looking for you as of March 2025 for an indefinite period and offer an attractive salary & benefit package. The minimum salary for this position is € 3.800 gross per month. The actual salary depends on the respective qualification or professional experience, i.e. we determine the actual amount in a personal interview. A significant overpayment is possible with appropriate suitability.
