Process Specialist Industrial

Responsibility of the function according to TCR documents of FO:

  • Industrial Engineers is responsible to design, decide and approve production ideal layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, ideal facility layouts and methods ensuring quality standards are maintained and flexible to integrate further changes.
  • The Production PSP is specialist support function for the development and implementation of the methods, processes and tools for achieving the targets, in line with the overall methods and systems of the central plant management function and the central technology assembly.
  • PSP’s key accountability is for process optimization (Cost, Quality, and Time).
  • Responsible towards the functioning of TX-R-41 for the overall steering of the key performance indicators (FKProp “Man Power defined for Production”), proportional costs, fix costs, other operating costs and costs of product launch) of the technology assembly and for engaging in the planning of these KPIs.
  • Responsible towards the functioning of TX-R-41 for the coordination of working-time models, time and operational management assessmentst.
  • Responsible for the location of every process in the Assembly Technology from designing the process to implementing the process. Scope includes the series / SBWE and complete new vehicle introduction to the Assembly Line.
  • Develops various operational concepts as a contribution of the plant in the planning process and checks vice-versa the feasibility of the planned projects in the plant. Shares the implementation experience from the plant back into the planning process. (Base launch(New model), LCI(Facelift) and PU(x4 product update P/A/(SBWE).
  • Competence for the control of all operational key performance indicators of the technology assembly at the production site (proportional costs, launch-, fix and special costs) and to carry out operational evaluations in the OtD and ItO processes towards the head of assembly. Instructing and delegating tasks on interdepartmental level (Process planners, logistics, Production Engineers & Quality Engineers).
  • Holds both the function industrial engineering and the PSP function.
  • Digitisation enables the TMO to handle things differently in many fields, faster and cheaper in the network. Facts and figures are the basis of our decisions.
  • The indirect / functional part of the PSP’s hierarchy is to steer, 1st escalation point, Initiate and coordinate project optimization, give expert coaching on process, organize launch coordination & planning, collate and manage deviations, CP’s & constraints, coordinate all logistics collaboration & planning, IT, management & facilitation of workshops and coordinate business trips.
  • Ensure the implements and drive sustainability in the projects of digitization.
  • The local network/ international network - ensuring latest changes in processes and methods are implemented within home plant. Inputs to the initial centralized department through CoC’s / Fachteams and regular exchanges between expert levels for desired outcome.
  • Controls and directs the generating & approval of SAB for ideal process (Process standards & documentation). Updating of SAB where efficiency improvements are made and co-ordinate training of associates on new or changed processes.
  • Analyse MTM process timing in detail by observing, recording direct and indirect activities according to actual and analytical premises for Waste ( Non value adding process), Plant TVG’s/LVG’s and dictates & confirm Core TVG process time accuracy. Creates, Amend, substitute and initiate & instruct the implementation of missing process steps which surfaced through earlier analysis.
  • Accountable to ensure that every TVG time within a workpackage is accounted for.
  • Ensuring existing, new and amended times and process data is captured correctly and maintained in relevant system: MAPP/LPP, TAKTIQ, SABs, SERA, SAP and MicroStation.
  • Formulate  and standardise Taktiq generated sequence to ensure the SAB document is adhered to by all production associates( enforce standard process to be followed across 3 shifts).
  • Instruct Process Planners on positions for all Electronic tightening tools locations for the plant.
  • Instruct and enforce that logistics racking and returnable locations are fixed to specific points.
  • Evaluates and decide on the Introducing of best practice and the latest Industry 4.0 innovations, ( AGV’s, Poka Yoke, AIQX etc).
  • Steer the implementation and improvement of logistics parts flow, lineside presentation planning, and adherence to RSML principles (Logistics collaboration & joint target agreement).
  • Initiate, investigate, analyse and manage projects: implement methods, procedure and systems required to establish, timing plans, concept, Line side presentation, part Supply methods(Material flow), Work methods, Racking requirements, packaging, ROI, tools & equipment’s, simulation, line trials and implementation in order to optimize processes. Ensure the entire processes conforms to Line side planning including workstation layout and demarcations through intense decision making and evaluation criteria and implementation.
  • Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and controlling by authorising man-assignment and line balancing ensuring the final approval for efficient labor utilisation. (Essential for forecast planning)\.
  • Improvement and reduction of business costs by increasing production capability/capacity/flexibility whilst maintaining production volume at required quality standards.
  • Improvement in process stability and worker utilization within the work packages.
