Purpose & Key accountabilities

The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for managing and reporting the ongoing Operational Risks within BMW Group Financial Services Canada.

  • Monthly reporting and analysis of the Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Loss Data Collection (LDC).
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather results for KRI reporting and understand and report why thresholds are not met.
  • Conduct annual organizational risk assessment. Assess and report on the identified risk scenarios.
  • Annual review of business processes and controls; faciliate control testings.
  • Prepare and conduct quarterly Operational Risk Committee meetings.
  • Follow up and report on action items from Operational Risk Committee meetings.
  • Develop and maintain local Operational Risk guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Regional and Group Operational Risk teams, Compliance and Legal to ensure minimum requirements are met.
  • Coordinate and resolve internal audit findings with various departments.

Business Continuity Management Coordination:

  • Annual business impact analysis (BIA) of SF2-CA time critical processes;
  • Coordination of business continuity tests and exercises as described in the SF BCM Guidelines in conjunction with the NSC;
  • Evaluate, assess and report BCM status to the management team

Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance is required
  • 3 years of relevant, professional finance experience
  • Experience in Operational Risk or Compliance topics is beneficial
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and proven analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Compensation

The compensation range for this role is $73,100 - $90,600, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
