Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Gather, prepare, cleanse, validate, and document data from multiple business systems and sources.
- Process raw data into analysis-ready datasets and perform exploratory, diagnostic, and statistical analysis.
- Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations with support from teammates.
- Assist with reusable data assets, semantic models, calculated measures, standardized KPIs, and metric definitions.
- Work on identified data quality issues, validate outputs against business requirements, and support resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Laise with team members to prepare and present findings in a clear, actionable format for technical and non-technical audiences.
Artificial Intelligence & Automation
- Support requirements gathering and design process of AI and ML use cases. Support following up technical development and testing.
- Contributes to projects involving Generative AI, Large Language Models, prompt engineering, orchestration, and agentic AI workflows.
- Support implementing workflow automation solutions.
- Work with team members to translate business needs into requirements, process steps.
- Work in partnership with analysts, data scientists, business teams, and IT throughout the solution lifecycle.
Data Governance & Documentation
- Contribute maintaining data dictionaries, business glossaries, lineage documentation, KPI definitions, and analytical asset inventories.
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
- Collaborate with teammates within Agile ways of working, including Scrum and Kanban, using JIRA.
- Participate in project planning, stand-ups, reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Communicate progress, and contribute to timely delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Build effective working relationships with internal business partners and technical teams.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the intern is expected to perform any other duties as assigned by BMW Canada Inc. from time to time.
