Our team at the BMW Group represents the central research division for cross-domain new technologies and future electronic trends. We cooperate with start-ups, universities, and institutes to advance automotive topics for 2028 and beyond. As a working student, you will support us in rapid prototyping and transferring innovative technologies into BMW’s internal series projects.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will support our international and interdisciplinary team in researching future automotive technologies.
  • Furthermore, you help to develop Proof-of-Concepts and integrate early solutions into vehicles using Android Automotive (AOSP/AAOS).
  • In addition, you contribute to building demonstrators for office and on-road use in Munich.
  • Moreover, you will assist in transferring knowledge and developed technologies to BMW’s internal series projects.
  • You will support your team in a productive campus environment with a focus on hard- and software for future vehicles.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in computer science or information technology.
  • Software development skills using environments like Android Studio and versioning systems such as git.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, e.g. Java or Kotlin.
  • Knowledge of Android Automotive systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and structural thinking.
  • High interest in new technologies and development concepts.
  • Business fluent German and good English skills.
