Our team at the BMW Group develops innovative in-vehicle personal assistants using multimodal large language models. We explore how voice assistance and graphical user interfaces can work together to enhance the in-car user experience and create seamless Human-AI interaction.
What awaits you?
- You will support core development activities using Python, incorporating LLM libraries and Pydantic for enhanced functionality.
- Furthermore, you contribute to the platform across multiple programming languages and frameworks, including Android Automotive and Azure Pub/Sub.
- In addition, you help solve complex problems and devise innovative solutions to enhance the MLLM capabilities of our in-vehicle personal assistant.
- Moreover, you will assist in planning and executing user studies with prototypes to validate concepts.
What should you bring along?
- Studies in computer science, media informatics or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Android development using Kotlin or Java.
- Knowledge and experience with Azure or other cloud platform deployments integrating with CI/CD tools like Git.
- Experience in developing large language models; experience with multimodal LLMs is a plus and experience with user-centered development and conducting user studies, ideally in voice user interfaces or automotive applications.
- Ability to collaborate in research and development teams, contributing innovative ideas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
