We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the field of battery technology and software development. You will support our cross-disciplinary team in the full stack development of battery software and gain valuable insights into the evaluation of next-generation battery cells and subcomponents for automotive applications.
What awaits you?
- You will support our agile development team by applying state-of-the-art methods in battery software projects.
- Furthermore, you help to sketch concepts and ideas for frontend, backend and SQL database development, and contribute to designing and evaluating solutions.
- Moreover, you will assist in implementing and testing software solutions based on practical use cases.
- In addition, you support developing concepts for GUIs and templates to enhance the usability of implemented software.
- Additionally, you help to test and analyze the performance of the implemented software solutions.
- You will support the independent completion of tasks and receive regular feedback from your mentor.
What should you bring along?
- Studies in information technology, web engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a full stack developer and in web design with React JS, Node JS, TypeScript, TypeORM and other web frameworks.
- Strong experience in Python, LLMs and AI agentic assistants, with solid knowledge of databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman is advantageous.
- Good experience with development environments like Confluence, Jira and Github.
- Knowledge in battery technology and battery development is advantageous.
- Business-fluent English skills.
