Analyst: Corporate Finance
Purpose
Support the Corporate Finance team in areas of Business Development, Product development and rollout, Project Management and steering, Corporate reporting, Client relationship management, Process enhancements and other Digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:
- Key Business Development function and support of business growth for RCF’s (Revolving Credit facility clients), serving Corporate and Diplomatic Sales (CDS) clients such as Fleet customers, Rental companies.
- Create and use a network of contacts with BMW and ALPHERA dealers, BMW SA and corporate clients, generate a portfolio of new prospects for the development of new business, including but not limited to Rental business.
- Support in development of new Corporate campaigns. Act as key support function in calculation of pricing (e. g. monthly Rental Lease offers) and profitability thereof.
Project Management:
Lead key business projects and business partner for development and rollout of new Finance products, these include but are not limited to:
- New FML (Full Maintenance lease product), adapting global expertise from ALPHABET markets to local standards
- Project lead for Shariah compliant financing (Ijarah and Murabaha) , steering and development of initiatives to rollout further to corporate clients.
- Further strategic new projects/ products to facilitate sustainable portfolio growth.
- End to end design and implementation of new Finance products developed, working closely cross functionally to ensure all structures are in place, this includes working closely with operations, Legal, Product, IT, PMQ (Process Management & Quality) and Compliance to ensure new products are rolled out adequately.
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks associated with new funding structures, including related Corporate projects.
Corporate and Sales Reporting:
- Provide regular reporting to management of new business generated, ongoing prospects currently in development and latest credit reviews completed.
- Corporate Reporting – Prepare reports for senior management, EBM reporting, monthly corporate reporting, tracking performance against budget and forecast, PCII tracking and development, and SF3 Regional reporting for the South African market.
Process Reengineering:
- Reengineering and constant improvement of the processes across all areas of the Corporate business (this includes Revolving credit facilities, Operating leases, fleet finance and other areas).
- Process mapping and gap analysis for new processes related to new products.
Client Relationship Management:
- Discuss highly sensitive details of financial performance with corporate clients, sensibly address needs for financial guarantees to secure lending by BMW FS.
- Undertake regular presentations to corporate clients, discussing their financing needs and requirements.
- Support Corporate Sales Relationship manager in maintaining key client relationships and take actions/ implement measures to further strengthen existing client relationships and build new relationships.
- Prepare documents and submissions for credit approval, ensuring comprehensive understanding of
- the customer’s business, perform a first analysis of balance sheets and financial statements.
- Complete regular reviews on a timely basis of existing facilities in order to gain reapproval.
- Work with the retailer CSM’s, F&I’s, and BMW and ALPHERA Regional Managers to provide support and training to retailer to ensure they understand the process for funding and to ensure that there is adequate training provided on all new products.
Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree and Honors (Commerce, Marketing, Business Management)
- 3-5 years working experience.
- Project management experience.

- Strong analytical and technical skills (Financial analysis and modelling).
