COORD. COMPLIANCE

 

BMW MEXICO

 

The Compliance Coordinator supports the Compliance Officer, Data Privacy Protection Officer and Information Protection Delegate at BMW Mexico and Latin American Importer Markets in implementing, operating, and monitoring the regional Compliance Management System (CMS), data privacy regulations, and information security standards. In this role, you will assist in conducting risk assessments, delivering targeted training and ensuring strict adherence to internal corporate rules and local federal laws. Working closely with cross-functional departments, central regional teams and external authorities; you will help identify legal or non-conformity risks, coordinate reporting and manage data privacy frameworks. Ultimately, you will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, protecting corporate integrity, and fostering an ethical and secure corporate culture across the LATAM region. 

 

WHAT AWAITS YOU? 

  • Develop, set up and maintain the local Compliance Management System, and in this function supports the respective BMW Group Compliance Responsible (CEO or managing director) in meeting all relevant internal and external compliance requirements.

  • Prepare an annual plan for compliance measures in coordination with the Group Compliance functions.
  • Act as data privacy advocates to identify privacy risks within specific departments and address issues early,

  • Enhance compliance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

  • Monitor changes on BMW Group’s compliance policies; draft, modify and implement local compliance company policies. 

  • Monitor the measures of data privacy specific processes within the department (e.g., privacy impact assessments and project review).

  • Advise and support the legal entity in ensuring the appropriate level of security for information protection.

  • Ensure the execution of assigned information protection tasks (including compliance with guidelines, processes and methods, implementation of training/communication measures and awareness).
  • Assist in identifying, recording risks and information classifications and defining actions as needed.
  • Coordinates updates to data privacy notices with external consultant according to business projects / needs.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG?

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Administration, Business or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Compliance, Data Privacy and/or Antitrust Certification preferred.
  • +5 years of proven experience in a compliance function.
  • Proficient in English (fluent spoken and written).
  • Logical and precise argumentation skills.
  • Strong assertiveness and constructive conflict skills.
