THEORETISCH DIE BESTE ENTSCHEIDUNG. PRAKTISCH AUCH.

TEILE DEINE LEIDENSCHAFT.

At the autonomous driving campus of BMW in Unterschleißheim (Munich), we are continuously developing cutting-edge functions for our self-driving cars.Among all the pieces that form an extensive and complex pipeline, from the sensor to the automatic response of the vehicle, the perception stack becomes a critical aspect. This is why we are looking for highly talented and motivated candidate that wants to make an impact the future generations of perception technologies.

What can you expect?

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of the data toolchain for training and validation perception functions for autonomous driving.
  • This implies an active role in several tasks such as fast-prototyping of state-of-the-art perception methods applied to autonomous driving and development of back-end tools.
  • BMW will offer to the student resources to learn and discover the newest contributions in the field of computer vision and machine learning, developing own deep learning techniques applied to our large perception datasets, combining it with the exciting process of the development of self-driving cars.
  • Test and validation of methodologies about to be released in the BMW vehicle integration toolchain.

Your qualifications

  • Studies of engineering or a comparable course of studies, e.g. computer science, physics or robotics.
  • First practical experience in software development with Python or comparable programming languages.
  • Understanding of machine learning methodologies, especially deep neural networks.
  • Basic understanding in sensor technologies for supervised learning approaches.
  • Strong background in Computer Science.
  • AWS knowledge is a plus.
  • German or English business fluent.
  • Teamwork and communications skills.
