Description:

  • Provides support to the Purchased Parts Quality Management team within BMW’s Supplier Quality organization.
  • Assists with daily KPI reporting, supplier defect containment topics, and qualityrelated problemsolving activities.
  • Helps develop and improve digital tools that increase transparency and efficiency in reporting, data analytics, and supplier monitoring.
  • Supports crossfunctional communication between BMW departments and supplier partners.
  • May assist with onsite supplier quality activities and rootcause investigations.
  • Supports daily KPI preparation, analysis, and reporting for assigned parts commodities.
  • Assists with problemsolving and containment actions related to supplier quality issues.
  • Monitors plant systems for supplierrelated defects and helps coordinate containment activities.
  • Updates and improves dashboards, reporting tools, and datavisibility systems.
  • Collaborates with Quality Specialists to understand powertrain components and crossfunctional processes.
  • Contributes to lessonslearned analysis and quality improvement opportunities based on historical launch data.
  • Supports development of internal tools for partnumber lookups, supplier information access, and defect tracking.
  • Assists with shopfloor containment, supplier communication, and documentation of quality topics.
  • Provides general departmental support to QSPs, Operational Leads, and Section Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Degrees also accepted: Supply Chain Management, Business Management.
  • Desired technical knowledge: programming, database fundamentals, data analytics, dashboarding tools (Power Platform, Tableau, AWS, etc.).
  • Must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Must be an enrolled student at an accredited fouryear college or university in the United States.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work fulltime onsite (40 hrs/week).
