Exceptional premium products can only be produced using perfectly maintained, highly automated systems and innovative technologies. So that our production continues to operate smoothly, we are looking for Maintenance Technicians for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood.
Our exterior surface centre is loking for a Maintenance Technician to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out to comply with legal requirements to include safe working practices, accidents prevention as per risk assessments. You will be responsible for responding to and repairing production equipment issues in the shortest possible timeframe ensuring manufacturing facilities are operating to the required KPI’s. Also, for repair and refurbishment of production equipment where required.
What Awiats You:
• Responds to production facility failures and returns equipment to good running condition in the shortest time using appropriate skills and knowledge.
• Carries out all planned maintenance, PM tasks, checks and measurements as required.
• Identifies failures and contributes to continuous improvement in area of work.
• Follow-up of automated recordings, trend analyses, incidental effects.
• Effective escalation of additional support requirements on breakdowns.
• Demonstrates proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues.
• Using initiative to actively engage in facility improvement to improve Technical Availability, undertaking small projects as a result of this activity.
• Communicates clearly and appropriately at different levels in the organisation.
• Demonstrates a willingness to train and support all team members.
What You Should Bring Along:
• A recognised engineering apprenticeship with Technical Qualification at the level of : NVQ 3 or equivalent
• Acts on own initiative, acts proactively.
• Works independently.
• Active team player with good communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant control systems, automation equipment, robot technology (e.g., ABB, KUKA), drive technology (e. g. Siemens, SEW), camera systems (e.g., Vision Tools, Cognex, Keyence), network technology incl. mobile networks, fieldbus technology and control cabinet construction, incl. EPLAN, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Maintenance systems (e. g. Smart Maintenance, SAP).
• Specifics skills and knowledge would be captured on the local Training matrix.
Please note this position is working night shift, however you will be working core day hours before moving onto night shift. Night shift hours are as follows:20:30hrs - 06:00hrs, 45hrs per week.
