Engineering Development & Innovation Intern - 12 Month Internship (July 2026)
Entity, Location – Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood.
Rolls-Royce Bespoke is an exciting environment, bringing customer ideas into reality. We produce interior surface components using a variety of materials and finishes. Throughout the process we combine craftsmanship with technology to exacting standards. It is our attention to detail that produces world class interiors.
Working in Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is an exciting environment, bringing the most ambitious designs of our clients into reality. Each day in Bespoke will bring new challenges and opportunities as you support the Bespoke teams with day-to-day tasks and projects. This is constantly changing due to the range of bespoke options we offer our clients, and you will learn how to think on your feet in a dynamic workplace. Creative thinking and a strong design flair are encouraged. This placement also gives you the chance to learn how to support the team in bringing new and exciting ideas to life, and to take a lead on the Experimentations workstream.
What awaits you?
- Supporting the detailed planning activities of the Interior Surface Centre.
- Have input on our work involving the use of 3D printing, laser engraving, fabrication and special commissions to develop vehicle interiors.
- Working with highly experienced industrial, mechanical engineers and Craftspeople on new projects and existing processes.
- Working with planning, production and the wider business teams to solve problems.
- Working on future projects to further develop the business by applying sound engineering processes.
What should you bring along?
- Studying towards an Engineering related course, and on track to achieve a 2:2 or above.
- Knowledge, interest and an appetite for mechanical / logical systems would be a distinct advantage. You need to be able to work independently within our team and have the ability to organise yourself as well as be able to work in the team environment.
- You will be required to work from your own initiative taking projects and tasks from concept through to a complete and implemented solution.
