BMW Group Financial Services UK is looking for an Underwriter on a Fixed-Term Contract basis, covering maternity leave. This role is based at the Summit ONE Campus in Farnborough.

 

What awaits you?

  • Evaluate financial data to make fully justified and sound decisions for all types of Private Customer GB (BMW / MINI) and Private Customer All Brands.
  • Make decisions within the agreed SLA with Sales.
  • Review underwriting declines, appeals and complaints.
  • Assess and analyse additional information provided by the Customer to evidence a decision.
  • Collaborate with all underwriting teams and relevant stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Sales Support, etc.)
  • Identify and mitigate AML and Financial Crime risks.
  • Provide advice and support to Private Customer GB (BMW / MINI) and Private Customer All Brands in Application Processing to achieve the best outcomes for customers and the company, in line with TCF regulations.

 

What should you bring along?

  • Strong knowledge of the range of finance plans and financial services products.
  • Competence in FCA regulatory requirements, including AML and Financial Crime and the regulatory impact on underwriting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proven analytical and strong decision-making skills abilities.
  • Team player who can also work independently, particularly when escalating problems or issues.
