BMW UK, Farnborough - Network Digitalisation - Placement (July 2027)
Are you passionate about understanding customer behaviour, uncovering insights from data, and shaping the future of automotive retail? Join the BMW UK Network Digitalisation team as an intern and play a key role in transforming how customers purchase and interact with the BMW and MINI brands. As part of an innovative and fast-paced team at the heart of the BMW UK sales operation, you'll gain hands-on experience analysing customer journeys, influencing business decisions through data-driven insights, and supporting the digital systems that power our next generation sales channels. From day one, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and contribute to projects that have a real impact on our customers, retailer network, and wider business.
What awaits you?
- Deep dive analysis of customer sales enquiries, identifying trends and performance variance across the Retail network.
- Creating content for our National Retailer Communications Portal.
- Designing and delivering ad-hoc reports and presentations for use across the department and wider company.
- Tracking all online and agency vehicle sales made by the BMW and MINI brands and providing reporting to the Senior Management team.
- Working with the team to provide a comprehensive suite of sales channel reporting and business insights. This includes proactively seeking out and implementing new or improved solutions.
- Delivering monthly and yearly KPI achievement projections.
- Collecting feedback on the use of sales tools and enquiry handling.
- Coordinating department newsletters.
- Our department is often at the forefront of new initiatives within the industry. Due to this, there may be the opportunity to be involved in special projects, something you could potentially link back to your studies.
- Networking extensively across the business whilst working on multi-discipline projects.
- Developing varied skills, especially around Power BI, Salesforce, Excel and Powerpoint.
What should you bring along?
- On track to achieve a 2:1 degree in Business, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related subject.
- Passion for digital innovation, technology and AI.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in using data to solve business challenges.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Creativity and confidence in producing presentations and communicating ideas effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A positive, proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage your own workload while collaborating within a team.
