Job Description: 

We are looking for candidate to join our Data & Analytics Centre of Competence (CoC) and lead the Reporting & Analytics function. The ideal candidates will be passionate about providing insights using our data to generate real business value and help to drive the future direction of our organisation.
  

As the Data & Analytics Manager, you will lead a small team of Business Intelligence Consultants who will deliver measurable benefit through Reporting & Analytics solutions working alongside and in close collaboration with the two other sub functions.

 

What awaits you?

 

  • A deep understanding our business processes and how data relates to these, working alongside a dedicated team of Data Stewards, who represent each business department.
  • Responsible for management and leadership of the Reporting & Analytics team to deliver insightful and effective analytics to the business that drives better business decisions and influences business strategy.
  • Responsible for effective prioritisation of analytics requirements from the business, to ensure the analytics resources is deployed in the most efficient manner to maximise results generation.
  • Running the bi-weekly development sprints (following Agile practices), to ensure maximum value to delivered with the available resources.
  • Working with the AI Implementation Manager, to support the delivery of predictive reporting solutions where advanced analytics, predictive modelling and general AI can be leveraged.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the local FG team who support our function and the wider delivery team based in Porto who are responsible for the data pipeline & data products that the UK reports leverage.
  • Develop a single source of truth for business data using BMW Cloud Architecture aligning with a ‘Federated Data’ approach.
  • Develop data visualisations using the strategic BI tool for the UK (AWS QuickSight).
  • Design and implement standardised operational analytics processes with appropriate governance and controls in place to validate accuracy and reliability of information provided.
  • Via a consultative approach look to support / lead the transformation of the business data culture and improve data skills / data literacy throughout the UK.
  • Look for opportunities to advance our analytics capabilities through AI and Machine Learning.

  • A passion for using data to transform business performance.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business users in an inspiring way.
  • Strong focus on objectives and sense of responsibility for delivering in time.
  • Experience of data systems and business processes
  • Strong analytical mind set and data manipulation/ modelling skills. 
  • Understanding of data warehousing and cloud data hub concepts.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools like Tableau and AWS QuickSight and expertise with KPI dashboard development.
  • Understanding of interrelationships and interdependencies of data structures.
