BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – Business Analyst Intern (July 2025)

 

We are looking for a motivated and curious Business Analyst Intern. Someone who is passionate about all aspects of business and wants to help us transform our business culture to treat data as a significant corporate asset and use data effectively to steer business development and strategy.

We are a diverse team of around 25 people who love what we do and have fun doing it! We encourage experimentation, curiosity, and self-initiative.  We have a strong focus on continual learning and development. The world of data and AI is changing rapidly, and we need to keep up with this.

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Business Analyst intern in the Data & Analytics team at BMW Financial Services, you will develop skills in:

 

  • Defining business problems and business processes and how data relate to these.
  • Defining requirements through workshops and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Using data to deliver business value.
  • Written and verbal communication with a range of stakeholders.
  • Organising inspiring data themed events.
  • Agile project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Data governance and data management.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • You might be studying for a degree in business and looking to develop your knowledge of data, or a technical degree such as computer science or mathematics and looking to develop your softer business skills. However, we are open to any academic background! You must be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above. 
  • You are expected to have strong A Level grades in any subjects.
  • A curious and questioning mind together with a proven interest in technology is the main requirement to do well in our team.
  • You must have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You must have an interest in business strategy development or data topics such as data science or data analytics.
  • Ability to work on own initiative (with support/mentoring as required), and as part of a team.
  • Outgoing and confident with a professional approach.
  • Must be willing to take on responsibility and deliver to timelines.
