As a Lean Engineering Specialist (Production Processes & Methods) at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you will act as a central coordination and governance partner within the production logistics environment. You will support efficient material flow, drive process transparency through performance management, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes in alignment with strategic objectives.

What awaits you?

  • Process optimization – You will analyze production logistics processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvements.
  • Lean methodologies – You will support the implementation and continuous development of lean principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Performance management – You will monitor logistics performance indicators and contribute to sustainable operational excellence.
  • KPI development – You will develop, track, and continuously improve KPI frameworks to ensure transparency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Management reporting – You will prepare analyses, reports, and decision-making materials for management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – You will work closely with logistics, production, planning, IT, and central functions to drive process alignment.
  • Strategic initiatives – You will support and steer process improvement projects and strategic logistics initiatives.
  • Capacity and resource planning – You will contribute to headcount and capacity planning activities based on operational demand.
  • Performance controlling – You will support the monitoring of key operational and financial performance indicators.

What we expect from you

  • Educational background – You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional experience – You have experience in production, logistics, industrial engineering, process management, or a similar environment.
  • Lean mindset – Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, lean principles, and process optimization approaches is an advantage.
  • Analytical thinking – You are comfortable working with data and deriving actionable insights from complex information.
  • Problem-solving skills – You are able to identify inefficiencies, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Business understanding – You understand operational performance drivers and process interactions within a production environment.
  • Communication and stakeholder management – You build effective partnerships across functions and organizational levels.
  • Ownership and initiative – You work independently, proactively, and drive topics to completion.
  • Language skills – Fluent Hungarian and English language skills are required; German is an advantage.
