Head of HR services

As the Head of HR Services you will be responsible to provide local HR Services for our new plant in Debrecen including HR Administration, payroll and contact centre.

The scope of the role and the responsibilities will grow over the next 2-3 years as the Plant expands. The role will be key to shaping the HR Services organisation.

You will be responsible to hire and train the HR Services team. You will also be responsible for implementing the core HR systems in partnership with the IT department, to ensure that systems are in place to support the smooth plant ramp up.  

You will work with the BMW Global HR processes and develop them to account for local Hungarian legislation. As part of our HR International Services Network, you will also work with your international counterparts to share best practise across locations.

 

What awaits you?

 

  • People management of the HR Services team. Budget responsibility and resource planning, tracking and invoice controlling.
  • Responsible to ensure the performance of HR Services in accordance with standard SLAs. Stakeholder management to ensure alignment across functions.
  • Giving direction regarding legislation, systems, processes and controls to ensure HR Services is compliant. Participate in the development of local agreements regarding payroll, HR data administration and time  management for the local entities.
  • Taking decisions and consulting on all topics related to payroll, HR data administration and time management.
  • Defining system requirements for IT implementation within the framework of HR Service topics. Ensuring all systems are kept updated and compliant.
  • Consulting local HR in relation to HR systems SAP, Elida (personnel file), CCM (contract creation), ServiceNow (ticketing system) and time-recording. Represent HR Services interests in Country specific circles.
  • Ensuring work instructions are fully documented and kept updated and aligned with HR Services standards. Maintaining the HR Portal to ensure high standard of information available to associates.
  • Steering of internal and external audits and follow up and closure of any resulting actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the service through digitalisation and knowledge management.

 

 

What you should bring to the role?

  •  Minimum Bachelor degree.
  • Long-term professional experience within HR Services and/or management.
  • HR Services experience in an international company.
  • Knowledge about the local working legislation (esp. tax, social security).
  • Deep functional knowledge in HR-IT, ideally SAP.
  • Experience in project management and/or HR transformation.
  • Min. 10 years of experience in leading people.
  • English business fluent written and spoken, Hungarian fluent, German would be an advantage.
