Description:
- Support the daily activities for the BMW real estate development and construction building project planning and execution.
- Student will support large, medium, and small construction projects while utilizing and supporting transformations with current systems (development and maintenance), process improvement initiatives, on-going processes and systems, and workflows while learning BMW building and construction project management. Support the BMW Project Manager in execution of project objectives
- Develop familiarity with BMW project management systems and tools
- Support onsite construction projects and recognize acceptable conditions
- Assist department improvement initiatives and enabler projects
- Validate and confirm data and quality accuracy for construction project landscape
- Support project managers and specialists in daily tasks Steer collaborative partners
- Support management and the project Team with meetings including organization, meeting minutes, meeting notes, compliance documents, and so on.
- Plan and implement projects and tasks related to assignments from management specific to time of hiring and maturity level of projects. (i.e. Project Data Transparency)
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions:
- Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas.
- Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects.
- Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.
- Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions.
- Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices.
- Support the organization’s vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
- Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
- Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings.
- Participate in project team meetings.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.
Qualifications:
- Undergrad or Masters: Civil, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business Management.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Good organization and project management skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English and preferably German.
- Analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
