As a Collections Services Specialist you are responsible for the decision making and operational processes surrounding pre and post repossession activities. This includes agency follow up and communications, account status coding, repossession charge off processing, reinstatement handling, repossession key ordering, minimizing loss exposure, reducing delinquency and net credit loss levels of the company.
WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Process incoming customer voluntary repossession requests.
- Manage pre and post repossession activities including, speaking with customers, agency follow up, communications, and reinstatement.
- Administer and quality monitor notice of sale letters, letters of strict compliance, cure letters, MA debt collection letters and ASB/Surplus Letters to ensure federal and statutory compliance in accordance with BMW Group Policies and Procedures.
- Manage the keys to be ordered queue, while keeping an open line of communication with Vehicle Logistics and Collections. This includes creating shipping labels, monitoring incoming physical mail, sorting part orders, and placing new orders with NA parts.
- Efficiently respond to customer messages within the collections secure message center queue.
- Actively monitor the Collection Services email inbox including process incoming customer deferral requests.
- Oversee the processing of returned customer mail and returned payments.
- Utilize the legal vendor portal to process warranty rebates and repossession damage claims.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6+ months of Customer Service experience.
- 6+ months of Financial Services industry experience.
- 6+ months Collections experience (Preferred).
- Knowledge of RDN and Goldfein vendor portal (Preferred).
The salary for this position is $41,600.00.
Specifics: Position reports to Team Manager, Collections Services. It is Columbus, OH based and is in salary band EL VII Non Exempt. Relocation assistance is not available.
