Job Description: 

As a Milling Associate at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, you will mill veneered and lacquered parts to specification ensuring that quality is always achieved. You will load programs from SAP to the milling machines and support with program testing, running in of new jigs and milling of bespoke parts and calibrate, repair and main the machinery.

  • At all times follow the approved process to achieve the required finish and quality standard, correctly using the machines, jigs and tools as required.
  • At all times follow any specific instructions to ensure we minimise our impact on the environment.
  • Always ensure you advise your Process supporter / Process leader or Production manager if you cannot follow the approved process, notice any damage to machine, tooling or jigs, or any potential dangerous practice or situation to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with support team where tooling quality does not meet requirements.
  • Ensure daily production needs are met in the department.
  • Support Process supporter, Process Leader and Production Manager with VPS activities as required.
  • Mill lacquered parts using 5-Axis Milling Machines.
  • Finish mill parts using 5-Axis Milling Machines.

 

What you should bring along:

  • Previous Milling Experience or strong wood background.
  • Understanding of machinery maintenance.
  • Good IT skills – Ideally experience of using SAP.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work to proces
