As a Process Leader in our Surface Finish Centre, you will be responsible for managing your shift team to produce our motor vehicles in line with the company’s quality, volume and cost targets. You will be an energetic manager who can demonstrate your ability to coach and motivate a team of associates, monitor complex automated and manual processes, identify and implement corrective actions where problems are found, develop and implement improvement ideas, ensure your team works to prescribed processes and that the process area remains production capable. You will have the experience and competence to support commissioning and production from a new facility, and will be responsible for Commissioning support, ramp-up of production, and sustained operations within the Paint application area.
What awaits you:
- Strong expertise in automotive paint application processes and related curing/ drying systems
- Experience of multi-robot paint spray systems, paint supply systems and robotics integration
- The ability to lead a Production team to produce painted car bodies to time, volume and quality targets.
- Solve problems related to production time and product quality that are influenced by the work in the Process Area
- Direct support departments to solve problems related to process and production quality, prioritising work based on quality and volume targets.
- Direct production process improvement activities according to Work Organisation and VPS principles.
- Request and implement process changes with the involvement of all relevant departments
What you should bring along:
- HNC or equivalent vocational qualification in manufacturing/engineering
- Sufficient supervisory experience in a continuous production environment
- Technical understanding of Paint application and manufacturing techniques
- Able to confidently use office IT applications to record production and personnel data, write reports and produce simple graphs/diagrams
- Knowledge of colour commissioning processes for new model introduction
- Stakeholder Management: alignment of operation, maintenance, process engineering etc
- Proven technical experience of working with Spraying Robot application systems
