Are you passionate about automation, controls systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies? We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to join our Paint Shop team, where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our automated production systems. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and optimising PLC, HMI, robotic, and industrial network systems, helping to maximise equipment uptime, product quality, and operational efficiency. You will support cutting-edge automated paint application processes, lead controls-related improvement projects, and contribute to the digitalisation of manufacturing operations.
What awaits you?
- Modify and write PLC and HMI code to control and improve cycle times
- Continuous operational support
- Perform regular ‘back-up’s’ and manage version control for all PLC programs and robotic configurations
- Diagnose complex electrical, network and automation faults
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, automation, mechatronics or controls engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Durr, etc.)
