SF3-TH-S-4,SF3-TH-S-4 / Asst, Collections Strategy

Key target metric is the IFRS ratio in line with the long term target range and organizational requirement.

 

The Key Responsibilities of the Function can be divided into 3+1 sub categories:

Data, Reporting and Steering

  1. Analyzing the data through various standard and ad hoc reports to closely track the bucket wise performances and identifying the focus areas on a weekly and monthly basis.
  2. Ownership of Collections related Data (Data stewardship) ensuring Collections data is clean
  3. Basis the Trend Analysis for Soft, Mid and Hard Collection performance, coming up with suggested changes in the process to achieve the desired results at micro and macro level.
  4. Working alongside the Soft and Hard Collection managers and guiding them on various steering topics.
  5. Responsibility for the creation and the automation of various repetitive reports with the help of PMQ and regional team members.
  6. Providing input into the effectiveness of the Agency Commission and Incentive system and proposing necessary changes to drive performance

 

Projects and Processes

  1. Steering the existing and upcoming Collections related business and IT projects to completion within stipulated budget and timelines.
    1. Act as a Center of Competence for Collections related IT systems (Ambit, Collections+, Repossession GEO-locator/BASE)
    2. Product owner of Collections+ system: defining a roadmap for the application, collecting feedback from key users and backlog management: defining user stories, prioritizing and implementing CRs to enhance functionality and useability. Supervising the effective usage of Collection plus system. Training of users.
    3. Part of MTT with responsibility for Ambit CRs related to Collections, defining User Stories, testing
  2. Coordinating & Collaborating with various departments to ensure the collection related tasks are given due priority. Special focus on Regulation and changes in Regulatory Requirements (e.g. BOT).
  3. Using the experience and expertise, to improve the existing processes, also basis the best practices being followed in the industry.
  4. Periodically review and highlight any process lapses within Soft & Hard Collection teams for continuous process improvements.
  5. Streamlining & strengthening the processes (especially for hard collections) basis the revised write off policy.

 

People development

  1. In collaboration with the Soft and Hard Collections Manager, defining, implementing and maintaining a training and certification process for collection vendor staff – tele-callers and field agents.
    1. Knowledge of SF systems and processes
    2. Base collections experience and working methods/processes
    3. Soft skills
  2. Coaching new and junior team members on BMW internal knowledge and processes.

    Others:

    1. Risk mitigation and team stability: serves as a substitution of the Hard- and Soft Collection Managers with a hands on approach in case of their temporary absence.
  • The Collections projects will be delivered in time, budget and quality.
  • New and innovative ideas within the Collections space will be explored and implemented as part of the Collections Strategy and Roadmap.
  • Implementation of process enhancements, improvements in quality and efficiency.
  • New functionalities, features and use cases will be implemented in the IT systems used by the internal Collections Team and External Vendors.
  • A structured training program will be developed for external agencies’ workforce to improve process adherence, productivity and efficiency.

 

  • The role will need to collaborate and coordinate with various internal departments like
  • Risk & compliance team : for better management of regulatory topics (BOT & OCPB), reduction of operational risks within the collection vertical.
  • Legal team : to figure out ways how we can expedite the legal procedures and further strengthen our recovery processes.
  • Marketing team : to steer various projects where support and intervention from Sales & Marketing may be required.
  • Treasury & Finance : to streamline various operational processes of payment application and suspense balance management.
  • New Business team : for sharing valuable inputs for process improvement and taking help to improve Non starter ratios.
  • CIC team : to have better coordination for supporting customers in distress and other loan related queries they may have.
  • Various external providers like Collection & Recovery Vendors, Law Firms : for improved and strengthened review mechanism.
  • SF3-TH ECM: for communication and update on Collections Strategies and results.

SF3 & SF3 Regional Team: for regular, quarterly and ad hoc update on SF3-TH Collections Strategy and performance.
